Frequently Asked Questions
What is the estimated transport time?
The estimated transport time varies for shorter distances and routes. Some ground transports cannot guarantee exact times due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather elements, road conditions, natural disasters, mechanical issues, etc.
Why do I need dimensions and weights to get an accurate quote for LTL or Air freight shipments?
LTL and Air freight shipment rates are based on volume or gross weight, whichever is the greater amount. In order to calculate the volume of a shipment, the dimensions of each piece are required. If the volume weight exceeds the actual gross weight, the shipment is rated at the volume weight. If the volume weight is less than the actual weight, the shipment is rated at the actual weight.
How do you calculate volume or dimensional weight for Domestic Air freight?
Take (L) Length x (W) Width x (H) Height and divide by 194 = Domestic volume weight in pounds.
How do you calculate volume or dimensional weight for International Air freight?
Take (L) Length x (W) Width x (H) Height and divide by 166 = International volume weight in pounds.
