AGT Global Logistics in Glen Ellyn is named “Top Company for Women to Work For In Transportation” by the Women In Trucking Association – for the second consecutive year.

More than 13,000 votes were cast to identify the companies named to the list. The list comprises a diverse range of business sectors in the commercial freight transportation marketplace, including motor carriers, third-party logistics companies, and original equipment manufacturers.

According to Brian Everett, publisher of Redefining the Road — the WIT official news source, “There are several key features that distinguish companies recognized on this list including: corporate cultures that foster gender diversity; competitive compensation and benefits; flexible hours and work requirements; professional development opportunities; and career advancement opportunities.”

“AGT Global is proud to be an employer where people want to work. I am proud of my team and also for promoting women in the industries of transportation and logistics and beyond,” notes President and Founder Angela Eliacostas.

In addition to the award, Chief Chicago asked Eliacostas to be a founding member of their private network that focuses on connecting and supporting women leaders. Members must be C-level or rising VP. According to their materials, “Chief is the only organization designed for women seated at or around the table. Our members are rising leaders making decisions today and influencing change tomorrow.”
