Happy Thanksgiving from Our Families to Yours
This past year has provided us with many challenges. Today we give thanks for what we have and what we’ve accomplished.
Here is our Thanksgiving day itinerary. We hope you enjoy your day with family and friends. Please save some of the best bits for those at work or on the road keeping our world turning.
Thanksgiving Morning –
Remove oven rack, preheat oven 325 degrees F.
Begin cooking the Turkey.
Brush dinner rolls with egg wash – increase oven to 350 degrees F. Bake rolls and stuffing.
1 hour before dinner –
Increase oven temp to 350 degrees F.
Replace oven rack.
Bake mashed potatoes, stuffing, and yam casserole – cover with plastic wrap** and rest bowl over a pan of simmering water to keep warm.
30 minutes before dinner –
- Collect drippings from the roasting pan and make gravy (remember, the extra gravy is in the fridge if you run out).
- Prepare Brussels sprouts.
- Keep roasted vegetables and stuffing warm in a 300-degree F oven.
- Wrap rolls in foil and warm in the oven.
Transfer gravy, rolls, and green beans into serving bowls.
Carve the turkey and arrange meat on a warmed platter.
